"The Debate on Shohei Ohtani's Need for an MLB Interpreter"

　While the remarkable success of Shohei Ohtani in MLB is undeniable, it is truly saddening that even after spending five years in the United States, he still heavily relies on an interpreter. The argument that he cannot fully demonstrate his abilities without an interpreter is not valid. When in a foreign land, one should adapt to local customs. Being a two-way player divides his strengths, making it challenging to evaluate his overall performance. By emphasizing a specific aspect, as Your Lordship also suggests, he would discover his own strengths and receive a proper evaluation of his abilities. If Lord Ohtani were to consider transferring to the Yankees or Cubs, for example, he would have ample opportunities even without an interpreter. Everyday English conversation is easier than Japanese. With only 26 letters in the alphabet, one should be able to acquire basic conversational skills quite easily. Limited English proficiency should be sufficient. It is uncertain whether Ohtani's communication skills will remain strong after Mr. Mizuhara's retirement as an interpreter, but overcoming that challenge is what would truly define him as a major leaguer, as Your Lordship suggests.
