NASA's DART (Double Asteroid Redirect Test) mission and Europe's HERA mission are conducting parallel experiments. If an asteroid that collides with the Earth is discovered, this is an experiment to change its orbit and avoid collision. Will they end up seeing the same landscape as the one that destroyed the dinosaur era?
